Eravamo una sera insieme a casa di un miliardario per discutere un’eventuale sponsorizzazione della MEMMT. Dopo l’aperitivo c’è la cena, suntuosa. Tutti sono avvinghiati alla politica, vogliono capire come prendere voti in Sicilia con l’aiuto della MEMMT. Io sono seduto davanti a Warren.

Di fianco a lui siede un bambinetto di 10 anni, il figlio del miliardario. Nessuno se lo fila. Sapete, gli adulti importanti discutono. Warren si stacca dal gruppo nel mezzo della discussione più importante, e lo vedo chinarsi verso il bimbetto e gli parla. Con voce soffice, gli parla. Gli chiede cose di lui, si interessa a lui.
